The time is flying by. It doesn’t feel like I am entering into my 6th month here in T-3. It feels like I left Quelimane just yesterday. This week passed in the blink of an eye. Its hard to beleive that its already p-day again. We were able to do some good work this week and see some progress in some of our families. We also found a good new one called Raymundo and Marta who if everything goes well will be opening the process in about 2 weeks time (Note: When Nate refers to “opening the process” that means they are starting to do all the paperwork for a couple to get married. It is time consuming and the Missionaries help a lot during the whole process). They have been coming to church for some time and we have a lot of hope for them. We are just still working hard on finding the families prepared for the lord. To quote myself from last night during the follow up with the zone leaders “We are just digging through some stuff to find the pieces of diamond.” Its a work in progress but slowly we are starting to see some miracles in this district. A dupla just opened the wedding process for another family who will be getting married and baptized in may. We are seeing alot of document progress with our current families and the other dupla is also having a lot of success.
In other [news] the missionaries hosted a ward activity this past Saturday. We hosted what is possibly the first ever easter egg hunt in mozambique. We bought 60 eggs and 4 things of nail polish and painted them all.
It was fun. We also caused a water balloon fight and then showed a movie about the ressurection and life of christ. It went well. Then on Sunday the missionaries performed the song “nearer my god to thee” and alot of the members came upto me and my companion telling us that we almost made them cry (hopefully because the spirit was there) Also the young woman president told me she is gonna start a choir with the young women so that they can perform. It was all really nice to just kind of serve the ward.
Love you all.
